TACT Digital is an Ayrshire Community Trust project with a particular focus on digital media and communications.
Based within our head office in Saltcoats, our creative media studio is equipped to deliver a range of digital projects and services.
The range of services we offer are primarily aimed at promoting and supporting community projects, third sector organisations, registered charities and community groups – although we do also work with the public and private sectors.

Digital Services
Website Design
Whether your current website is in need of a makeover or even if you don’t have one yet – our cost-effective, friendly and jargon-free service will get your brand presence online for the world to see.
We provide professionally built, responsive websites with content management system and modules specifically designed for non-technical users.
All of our packages include a 1hr training session on how to add content in order to take control of your site and keep it up to date.

Virtual Reality
We’ve been developing VR applications since 2017.
Our main focus is on using the technology to help reduce anxiety levels and promote mental wellbeing.
The experiences we create consist of fully detailed environments within natural surroundings such as tropical beaches, waterfalls, forests and mountains. To accompany the visuals we also utilise spatial audio to provide relaxing music, ambient nature sounds and guided meditation voiceovers.

Video Production

E-Learning Applications
In response to the pandemic’s constraints on personal interaction with groups, TACT Digital developed an online solution that allows organisations to continue engaging with their service users remotely.
Using a mix of multimedia elements, we can create interactive learning modules for various subjects and scenarios such as:

• Hazard Identification (click for an example)
• Fire Risk Awareness Training (click for an example)
Once uploaded to the internet, these modules can be integrated with Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) to gather scores and assist participants on their learning journey.

Cultural Heritage
At TACT Digital, we’re passionate about connecting local communities to their historic past. Using various types of media, we always aim to create an experience that is both engaging and educational for audiences of all ages.
Examples of our previous projects include a documentary video about Trinity Church in Irvine, an immersive virtual reality experience set in the trenches during WW1 and a 360° virtual tour of Irvine’s Harbourside area with detailed information on the area’s industrial past.
We are currently creating a digital reconstruction of Kilwinning Abbey that will take visitors back in time to the 1500’s. You can view a (very early) demo by clicking here.
